* The threat of armed conflict involving the governments of Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela has mobilized anarchists and anti-militarists across the continent, in words and in action, to repudiate what would be a monstrous aggression by state powers against our peoples. Below there are two documents that call for struggle against this evil.

__Declaration of Latin American antimilitarists: We don’t need another war__

We don’t need another war. We, conscientious objectors and antimilitarists from Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and the whole of Latin America and the Caribbean together, categorically refuse to participate in belligerent escalades that will lead to a war that, again, will attempt to divide us. We have enough with hunger, corruption, rampant militarism, the obscene military budget, insecurity, the continuous violations of human rights by our governments, for them to give us yet another armed conflict.

War will only strengthen nationalism in the countries involved, increasing the xenophobia already existing in our countries. It will empower the armed forces giving them another excuse to increase their budgets and will hide the problems that plague us even more as Latin American and Caribbean peoples: the out of control exploitation of our resources, the ever so high levels of unemployment, discrimination and gender-based violence, corruption and the mafias in power, whole communities displaced because of war or single crop agriculture, racism and class discrimination, etc. None of these can be solved by war. On the contrary, war will mean that these problems will increase just as they have in every dictatorship and in every civil war.

A war among Latin American states is also a civil war among brothers, driven to slaughter by militarist governments, either of the right or of the left. The only winners in a fratricide war are the global arms merchants who in the United States or in the Russian Federation build their laboratories of war and oppression in our countries under the euphemism of “Plan Colombia”.

We say no to war and its preparations. No to empowering the military, either of the left or of the right. Yes to people’s autonomy and their struggles. Yes to Latin American brotherhood.

We call for massive action against militarism and war, we are committed to working together for justice and solidarity, outside the barracks, in each of our countries.

__Revolution is not possible without peace__

Castro said it: “The din of war sounds loud in South America”. The verbal escalade between Uribe and Chavez appears to be more than rhetoric. Tanks sent to the border, ambassadors kicked out and heated speeches and public appearances up the ante of confrontation. Maybe it won’t be this time, though there’s no doubt the situation is alarming. Perhaps the waters will return to their level, waiting for a future occasion to unleash the conflict. I wholeheartedly hope this will never happen because I am repelled at the prospect of our peoples killing each other because of state interests, whatever the circumstances may be. But for now everything looks dark.

The truth is that bellicose rhetoric favors both Uribe and Chavez, the latter perhaps more so. The truth is that the Comandante’s revolutionary discourse has seen better days. After the December 2nd defeat, the first electoral thrashing he has got, the floodgates of discontent within chavismo have swung open. Not the discontent seen on TV with high sounding declarations, but that of the people who abstained and caused the constitutional reform defeat, the same people who are tired of empty supermarket shelves and abandoned Missions while the Boli-bourgeoisie drives expensive cars. The same people who denounce corruption and confront the Ministry of Labor bureaucracy and get shot by the National Guard in return. The very same people who those chavistas closest to the presidency accuse of being left deviationists, ultra-left or anarchists, of whom it is said it isn’t ready for socialism after nine years waiting for some real moves, and who get desperate seeing Chavez flirting with the right in the past few months. Not in vain calls to internal discipline by the constituted power multiply, demanding unity for the coming electoral battle. Those who complain within the PSUV (Venezuela’s socialist party) are summarily expelled even when they’re just denouncing corruption, even though said party is not yet formally constituted, has no statutes but it already has a disciplinary committee.

It is not the first time that when the revolutionary rhetoric of a populist movement is exhausted they resort to rancid vociferous and aggressive nationalism. It’s the best remedy against dissent, since when you have an external enemy you can conflate it with any internal threat to the stability of the regime, thus solving the problem of the dissidents, no doubt on the enemy’s payroll. We’ve seen a lot of this in Venezuela: Bill Gates implants chips on people, so and so work for the CIA, same old same old. In reality an open conflict with Colombia will be just another step forward in this game, a life saver for a chavista regime that’s losing its bearings and its base. Thus it is not strange that although the main problem is the Ecuadorian border violation by Colombian troops, the Venezuelan government wastes no time joining the fray and increases tension by sending troops, instead of playing a pacifying role that could really be of diplomatic benefit.

Of course Uribe also feeds off the confrontation. He has done everything possible to sabotage any dialogue with the guerrilla, to impede the freeing of the hostages, in order to advance an armed solution to the conflict (or its continuation for that matter) since he came to power with that discourse and already he’s exploring the possibility of constitutional reform that will allow him re-election. There are frightening coincidences. If not, explain to me why kill the mediator responsible for the liberation of Betancour a few days before his release was announced. He has clearly shown he prefers war to a peaceful accord. His has always been an aggressive and para-military policy that says organizing a lively and active civil society, an urgent necessity in Colombia after sixty years of conflict, equals supporting the guerrilla. Another example of how a known enemy can be used to persecute that which is perceived as a threat. Of course the Unites States supports all this as they stand to be the greatest beneficiary of a conflict that would mire Venezuela in a long war. Nothing pleases the established powers more than consensus, and Uribe exploits it as much as he can, to the point of accusing any critic of the government of being in the guerrilla, to say nothing of union activists, human rights defenders, etc. Uribe has bet on personal power at the expense of all Colombians, who are now threatened with the possibility of war, and because of the resumption on the part of the FARC to a campaign of indiscriminate attacks. There are few people in the world that suffer their governments as much as the Colombian people.

After all a war will only serve to perpetuate both rulers in power, each one waving the colored rags that move the nationalists so much, flags that in this case are painfully similar. Meanwhile the people bleed in a war that’s not their war, not the class war, crying for their children, without justice, bread or peace. Neither the bourgeoisie the politicians nor the bureaucrats will take part.

But in the case of Venezuela there’s an added evil. Let there be no doubt that in case of war the revolution is finished. Once again politicians of every ilk will trade the people’s hope for mirrors and beads, in this case bullets and machete blows. In case of armed confrontation nothing is easier than to intensify the calls to discipline, disqualify those who dare take the initiative apart from the government; nothing easier than to change the priorities of building the socialism for the XXI century for victory in war. Socialism for later, when it will again be possible, if at all. We’ve seen it in Spain, at the end we have no revolution, we lose the war and we’re really fucked.

As usual, the only solution to the governmental madness is the people, a revolutionary tide that will run over the demagogues, the populists and those who sell their mothers on both sides of the border, dedicated to building a strong civil society from below, independent of that power that always tries to perpetuate itself, a self-managed society, revolutionary by vocation and nature, without blinding leaders, internationalist and in solidarity, that recognizes that the people of Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador are brothers for many reasons, brothers in suffering, brothers in their desire for peace and justice. For starters, nothing would be better than not being deceived by war proclamations and totally rejecting war among states, any war except class war. Mobilizing for peace must begin as soon as the drums of war start beating. Later it will be too late.

edizione della “Sport under the siege” Cup, nata nell'ambiente delle
curve degli stadi di calcio (alla faccia di chi le vede solo come

La manifestazione calcistica, unica nel suo genere, vedrà la
partecipazione di 100 calciatori e calciatrici italiani che
incontreranno squadre locali della Striscia di Gaza e della West Bank.
Le città e i campi profughi di Gaza City,Jabalia camp,Khan Younis,
Jayyus, Qalqiliya, Dehisheh camp, Abu Dis e Gerusalemme faranno da

PERQUISIZIONE AL PARTITO DEI CARC!

Grave attacco alle libertà “democratiche”!

Ieri mattina, 05.03.2008, quattro volanti dei Carabinieri hanno fatto irruzione nella sede del Partito dei Carc di Napoli Ponticelli e della Casa del Popolo.

Con la scusa di ricercare stupefacenti hanno messo a soqquadro l’intera sede, rovistando tra striscioni, volantini, manifesti, documenti politici e i moduli per la raccolta firme per le prossime elezioni politiche. Per giustificare questa perquisizione in grande stile e fatta d’urgenza senza permesso dell’autorità giudiziaria hanno infine condotto in questura un simpatizzante del quartiere presente nella sede della Casa del Popolo trovato in possesso di marijuana.

Oggi, 06.03.08, a Quarto di Napoli i Carabinieri con fare provocatorio hanno fermato due compagni dei CARC e un simpatizzante, che dopo aver raccolto le firme per le elezioni stavano chiacchierando nell’atrio del portone della propria abitazione, chiedendo loro i documenti personali e dell’auto. Infine hanno giustificato la provocazione dicendo che stavano cercando una persona alcolizzata.

La cosa non ci sorprende!

- Nel febbraio 2006, in prossimità delle elezioni amministrative e dopo le perquisizioni a nostro carico del 1999 e del 2003, Paolo Giovagnoli, il novello Torquemada, sguinzagliò la Digos in tutte le case dei candidati del Partito dei Carc sequestrando materiale politico e in particolare materiale elettorale (moduli raccolta firme, simboli, bandiere, ecc.) e materiale informatico utile e necessario per portare avanti la nostra propaganda elettorale.

- Sempre nel 2006 a Napoli si cercò di far saltare la nostra lista con la scusa che alcuni dei nostri candidati in passato erano stati condannati o inquisiti. Per che cosa?

Alcuni per reati comuni: la borghesia prima costringe una parte delle masse popolari a condizioni di miseria, abbrutimento ed emarginazione e poi o li reprime oppure li usa come manovalanza per i suoi affari sporchi, per lucrare sulla loro cura e “reinserimento”, per guadagnare sul loro abbrutimento. Quando invece quelle stesse masse, quegli stessi disperati alzano la testa e cercano di uscire dalla loro situazione, quando sono organizzati dai comunisti anziché dalla Chiesa cattolica, dalla criminalità organizzata o dai fascisti, quando iniziano a lottare contro la società che li ha gettati in quella condizione anziché sprofondare nell’abbrutimento o sperare nel regno dei cieli, allora li denigra in ogni modo.

Altri per reati d’opinione e politici, cioè per aver promosso, organizzato e partecipato alle lotte dei lavoratori e delle masse popolari contro lo sfruttamento, la rapina e l’arbitrio dei padroni e per togliere ai padroni il potere di sfruttare e rapinare gli operai e gli altri lavoratori, di devastare l’ambiente e di seminare guerra e miseria, quindi per costruire una nuova società diretta da e per i lavoratori e il resto delle masse popolari. Quindi per lo stesso motivo per cui sono stati inquisiti gli autoferrotranvieri di Milano, gli operai della FIAT SATA di Melfi, i compagni di Potere Operaio della FIAT di Pomigliano d’Arco, i compagni del comitato No Dal Molin di Vicenza, per cui il 12 febbraio del 2006 sono stati arrestati 15 supposti membri del Partito comunista politico-militare e dei Comitati Proletari per il Comunismo, per cui sono stati perquisiti i portuali di Gioia Tauro, per cui sono stati condannati a 4 anni gli antifascisti di Milano, a 7 anni i compagni che nel 1999 manifestarono a Firenze contro la guerra di aggressione alla Jugoslavia, a 12 anni i manifestanti contro il G8 di Genova, per cui sono sotto processo a Cosenza i compagni di Sud ribelle, per cui i sindacalisti onesti, le avanguardie di lotta, i comunisti vengono espulsi dai sindacati di regime. Tutte le liste dei partiti borghesi a Napoli erano composte da persone che avevano riportato condanne o sono inquisite per corruzione, concussione, mafia, falso in bilancio e simili: del resto anche il Parlamento è pieno zeppo di ladri, truffatori, mafiosi.

- Il mese scorso, un’altra volta a pochi mesi dalle elezioni, ci è arrivata, dopo ben cinque anni, la notifica di fissazione dell’udienza preliminare per l’ottava inchiesta aperta a carico del nostro partito e dei suoi simpatizzanti (la famigerata inchiesta Giovagnoli). L’udienza si terrà il 13 maggio, un mese dopo le elezioni.

- Sempre a Napoli durante la lotta contro la riapertura della discarica di Pianura i nostri compagni, in prima fila nella lotta e punto di riferimento per le masse della zona, sono stati minacciati da fascisti e camorristi che andavano a braccetto con le forze dell’ordine.

Perché questo nuovi e ulteriori attacchi?

Il motivo è semplice.

- Impedire al nostro partito (uno dei pochi costretti a raccogliere le firme) di presentarsi alle elezioni visto che nonostante i mille cavilli burocratici che “democraticamente” ostacolano la partecipazione delle masse popolari alla competizione elettorale, a Napoli abbiamo quasi raggiunto il numero necessario di firme e pochi giorni fa abbiamo presentato il nostro simbolo “Lista comunista per il Blocco Popolare” al Ministero degli Interni.

- Fare terra bruciata intorno al nostro partito, indurre i lavoratori e le masse popolari a tenersene ben lontane: se non bastano le ripetute inchieste per “terrorismo” perché dopo averci conosciuti nelle lotte e nelle mobilitazioni vari lavoratori ci dicono “se i terroristi sono come voi, ci vanno bene”, se non basta l’accusa di avere in lista dei “condannati” perché le masse popolari o almeno la parte più battagliera di esse sa che non tutti i condannati sono uguali, adesso ricorrono all’insinuazione che abbiamo a che fare con l’uso e, perché no, lo spaccio di sostanza stupefacenti!

Questo ennesimo attacco contro il nostro partito conferma l’importanza dell’irruzione dei comunisti nel teatrino della politica borghese per accumulare forze rivoluzionarie: al di là della forza che ostenta, in realtà la borghesia è debole, teme i comunisti perché essi, in ogni ambito in cui intervengono, promuovono, orientano e organizzano la mobilitazione delle masse popolari contro lo sfruttamento, la miseria, la guerra, e il degrado, promuovono la riscossa contro la classe di assassini che ci governa, contro il loro criminale ordinamento sociale e contro i politicanti che lo sostengono; ha paura che i comunisti irrompano nel teatrino della politica borghese e lo trasformino da strumento per imbrogliare le masse in arma delle masse contro la borghesia.

Questo ennesimo attacco contro il nostro partito dimostra che la borghesia usa ogni mezzo per tenere fuori i comunisti e quindi le masse popolari dal suo teatrino: dove non bastano gli intralci e i cavilli burocratici, usa la repressione, l’insinuazione, la menzogna.

Per la borghesia è legale o comunque tollerabile e al più un “incidente” tutto ciò che le permette di mantenere il suo dominio, di fare buoni affari, di accumulare profitti: dai massacri contro le masse popolari in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Libano e in Palestina alle stragi sul lavoro come quella della Truck Center di Molfetta e della Thyssen-Krupp di Torino, dalla devastazione dell’ambiente alle stragi come quella avvenuta nei giorni scorsi nei pressi di Fiumicino, dove due donne e tre bambine sono morte travolte da alcune auto in corsa, perché non c’erano i soldi per costruire neanche uno straccio di marciapiede dove aspettare lo scuolabus!

Per le masse popolari, è legittimo tutto ciò che è conforme ai propri interessi anche se non è legale, cioè anche se non è conforme alle leggi borghesi, alle leggi di quelli che comandano nel nostro paese, alle leggi di quelli che sfruttano, rubano, opprimono, reprimono e saccheggiano, alle leggi di quelli che misurano tutto in termini di soldi e vorrebbero che tutti si regolassero come loro, secondo la loro gretta e ristretta mentalità.

Non ci tireremo indietro nemmeno davanti a queste ennesime provocazioni!

Facciamo appello a tutti i lavoratori, disoccupati, studenti, casalinghe e pensionati affinché appoggino e collaborino con la Lista Comunista per il Blocco Popolare in tutte le città dove siamo presenti. Firma e fai firmare, raccogli sottoscrizioni, partecipa alle riunioni dei comitati elettorali, fai girare la voce che i comunisti partecipano alle elezioni.

Per promuovere la riscossa delle masse popolari!

Per difendere senza se e senza ma i diritti conquistati e conquistarne di nuovi!

Per fare dell’Italia un nuovo paese socialista!
